Dear Parents and Guardians,
We have all struggled with the limitations placed on us due to Covid-19. Our number one goal has been to get all our children back into school with in-person learning as soon as it was safe to do so. A secondary goal has been to reduce the number of disruptions due to the high volume of quarantines we experienced in the spring. After reviewing all the guidance from the CDC, Illinois State Board of Education, Illinois Department of Public Health and McDonough County Health Department I have developed the attached 2021-2022 Reopening Plan.
This plan will not give anybody everything they want; however, it will accomplish the two goals that the community shared with me that were critical. This plan should create the greatest level of stability for both students attending school daily and parents work schedules. It is my sincere hope we can consider this a phased-in plan and begin reducing mitigation strategies as the pandemic allows.
Together we can do this!
Thanks, and have a GREAT Day!
