Attendance/Passes/Bus Pass

If your child is absent from school any portion of the day, the parent/guardian must notify the school by 9:00 am.  A parent may call the office anytime before 7:30 a.m. and leave a message on the voice mail.  After 7:30 a.m., please call and speak with office personnel.

If a child is absent and no notification from the parent has been made, a reasonable effort by the school to notify the parent will be made.  A parental note is required on the next date of attendance.  This is in addition to the contact made between the parent and school on the day of the absence.   The note should be submitted to the Attendance Office or Jr. High Office before the student begins classes.  The Attendance Office or Jr. High Office will issue a pass to re-enter class.

If your child has an appointment during the school day, please send a note to school with the student.  The student should bring the note to the Jr. High office and a pass to leave class will be written.  It is very difficult to ensure a timely response if you show up unannounced requesting a student.  For example: PE classes may be hard to find so you may be late for an appointment if we are not notified in advance.

Bus drivers try to ensure safety for all students on the bus.  Limiting numbers of riders is necessary to ensure safety.  Therefore, if a student needs a bus pass, the student must have a signed note from the parent.  We cannot accept phone calls.  Q written request with the parent/guardian signature is required for a bus pass.

The Junior High PTO Butter Braid Pastries fundraiser is ready to begin.   You may have sampled these in previous years at Back to School night.  These delicious pastries come with a variety of fruit and cheese fillings and sell for $15.00-$17.00 each.  Cookie dough will come in 40 frozen individual pieces and sells for $17.00.   Attached is the order form. Order forms and the money collected are due back to your ADVISORY teacher on September 28.

We are hoping for each student to sell at least 5 items.

This year we will also be using an online order option.  Watch for an e-mail with the link to order online.

The PTO uses the money to sponsor activities such as field trips, assemblies, incentives and technology.  If paying by check, please make checks payable to Macomb Jr. High PTO.

One check to MJH PTO is preferred.  Prizes will be given to the top sellers!!

Students please have your parent sign the certificate (at the bottom of this note) showing that they have read the information regarding Butter Braid sales.   Return certificate to your ADVISORY teacher by Tuesday, September 28, 2021.
